What is GreenBook Rotation?

“Greenbook” rotations mean a clinical science program is accredited by ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education). These Green-Book clinical rotations are mostly associated with Teaching Hospitals that have Residency Program for the rotation in which you are being rotate. These rotations can be in Pediatrics, Surgery, OB/GYN, Family Medicine, and internal medicine etc. These hospitals are actually focused on teaching. There will be interns, attending residents and fellows for learning. If you go to any hospital or clinic, which has no residency programs then, these rotations are considered as Blue-Book Rotations.

Heading toward the top Caribbean Medical Schools’ position – Avalon University

Avalon University FoundationWillemstad, Curacao – Finally, the long awaited day has come. Board members’ delegation of Avalon University from OH, USA have signed a Notary deed for the long leased-land on Friday June 27, 2014 and Avalon has successfully acquired land of around 50,000 sq. meters from the Government of Curacao. This is another milestone in the successful journey of Avalon to becoming one of the Best Caribbean medical schools. This 50,000 sq. meter piece of land will be given in phases. Avalon is moving it’s gears towards the construction project of University building and students dormitory building starting from the end of August 2014 or early September 2014.First Phase of this construction project is scheduled to be finished by September 2015, and this phase will have an accommodation capacity of 300 students on campus which will include a high-tech Anatomy laboratory, Biochemistry Research Laboratory, Pathology and Histology Laboratories and an onsite sophisticated computerized library which can accommodate around 100 -150 students.
